Designed for players who dominate the game with powerful shots after controlling the rally, the ASTROX 99 TOUR has been reinvented to offer explosive power with greater confidence in your game. The most notable difference in the TOUR version is that the racket feels more balanced and is more affordable. It's the little sister of the PRO version.
"Lead the attack with increased power and control" is the new slogan for the ASTROX range, and for this model specifically, it's "PURE POWER".
The new Yonex ASTROX 99 TOUR is the latest racket in the Astrox range for OFFENSIVE players. It incorporates the improved "Enhanced Rotational Generator System" which distributes weight between the grip end, the top of the frame, and the shaft to achieve smooth transitions and sustained attacking rallies. This weight distribution has been designed based on the counterweight theory, which allows rackets with a head-heavy weight distribution to recover faster between shots.
The new Yonex ASTROX 99 TOUR is equipped with the "POWER-ASSIST BUMPER" system. These are tungsten-infused grommets that are seamlessly integrated into the racquet to reduce air resistance and add weight to the upper part of the frame, thus improving power transfer to the shuttlecock.
It also features a new, lighter end cap design on the handle, shifting the balance towards the head of the racquet, making the ASTROX 99 TOUR the second most head-heavy model in the brand's lineup.
In the PRO and TOUR models, the flexible 2G-Namd™ technology has been combined with the lightweight end cap for fast flex, precise power, and a more head-heavy balance. All these innovations together deliver explosive power in every rally.
By combining these technologies with the "Shot Information Connector," the racquet maintains a stable frame during impact, providing a clearer feel and giving players the confidence to hit powerful shots.
The shaft of the TOUR version has the same diameter and length as the PRO version, but its composition is REXIS, as in all other TOUR versions in the range. The handle also uses CSR (Core Shell Rubber) instead of the CFR (Carbon Fiber Rubber) found in the PRO range.
Not to mention the design inspired by the energy and impact of meteorites on planets, symbolizing overwhelming power. A black and green base, accented with marble-like textures, evokes weight and strength, while the orange streaks running from the frame to the grip symbolize the transfer of power during shots.
